Vom 2. - 8. November fand das Internationale Umweltfestival Langaia in Lanzarote statt. Die Veranstaltung wurde, wie nicht anders zu erwaten war, von den aktuellen Protesten gegen die Ölbohrungen vor den Kanarischen Inseln dominiert, dazu später mehr.

Wir nahmen an diversen Gesprächsrunden über erneuerbare Energien teil, das Spektakel Piratas al Recyclaje sowie das Kinderprogramm waren der Hammer und das Festival sicher ein toller Erfolg! Unser Botschafter Ave Plasticvus machte mit La Fabrica de Suenos die Plaza de la

Mareta in la Villa de Teguise unsicher!

Am Langaia Festival lernten wir das Team von SurfAndClean endlich persönlich kennen! Wir verbrachten eine tolle Woche, tauschten Ideen aus genossen ab und an ein paar tolle Wellen. Wir möchten uns bei David für den tollen Blogbericht über COUP bedanken und euch seine Projekte, allen voran Surf and Sun, herzlichst empfehlen!

Natürlich sind wir immernoch kräftig am Strandsäubern und haben unseren Aktionsradius erweitert. COUP sammelt im Rahmen einer Studie über Mikroplastik 2 mal im Monat proben. Die so erhobenen Daten helfen bei der Evaluation der angeschwemmten Plastikmenge.

Neu verwenden wir gebrauchte Futtersäcke für unsere Strandaktionen - DANKE Lanzaroteacaballo!

...und nun zu einem leidigen Thema: Die Probebohrungen haben begonnen, da hat auch unser Riesencalmar nichts dran ändern können. Die Welt sah noch so schön aus als Greenpeace mit der Arctic Sunrise in Arrecife vor Anker ging und wir das Prachtstück besichtigen durften, aber dann, am 15.09.2014, gerät die Sache buchstäblich aus dem Ruder.

Was kann man da noch sagen? Die spanische Armada rammt die Zodiacs, eine Greenpeace-Aktivistin geht über Bord und wird so schwer verletzt, dass sie mit dem Hubschrauberins Krankenhaus geflogen werden muss. Nicht nur das, die Zentralregierung sieht die pazifistische Aktion als Akt der Piraterie und muss natürlich den armen Ölriesen schützen. Da der Kapitän die 1000m Entfernung zum Bohrschiff nicht eingehalten habe, wurde die Arctic Sunrise in den Hafen von Arrecife begleitet und Greenpeace zu einer Busse von 50.000 € verurteilt! Nur Herr Energieminister Soria topt das ganze mit seinem Kommentar: "Wenn die das nicht stoppen werde ich sie höchstpersönlich mit einer F-18 da rausbomben!" , dies grenzt an Faschismus, unserer Meinung nach! Wir wünschen Greenpeace viel Glück und unterstützen sie weiter bei ihrem Kampf für unsere Ozeane!

Del 2 al 8 de noviembre se celebró el Festival Internacional del Medio Ambiente Langaia en Lanzarote. El evento fue, como se podría esperar, dominado por las protestas actuales contra prospeciones petroliferas de perforación frente a las Islas Canarias, más sobre esto más adelante... aquí el video de la demostración en Arrecife, 10/18/2014

Hemos participado en diversos debates sobre las energías renovables, el espectáculo Piratas al Recyclaje y el programa de los niños eran genial y el festival sin duda un gran éxito! Nuestro embajador Ave Plasticvus junto con La Fábrica de Sueños han transimitido el mensaje a

la Plaza de la Mareta en la Villa de Teguise!

Al festival de Langaia finalmente conocemos al equipo de SurfAndClean! Pasamos una semana estupenda, intercambiaron ideas y disfrutaban algunos olitas. Nos gustaría dar las gracias a David por el blog sobre COUP y les recomendamos sinceramente las proyectos, sobre todo Surf and Sun!

Por supuesto seguimos limpiando playas y hemos ampliado nuestro alcance. COUP va recoger muestras dos vezes al mes como parte de una estudia sobre micro-plástico. Los datos recogidos ayudarán en la evaluación de la cantidad de plástico aluvial.

Ahora usamos viejos sacos de alimentos para nuestras acciones a las playas - GRACIAS Lanzaroteacaballo!

... Y ahora un tema tedioso: La perforación ha comenzado, ni nuestro Ccalmar-Gigante ha sido capaz de cambiar algo. El mundo se veía tan hermosa como Greenpeace con el Arctic Sunrise en Arrecife echó el ancla y nos permitió visitar la joya, pero luego, en 15/09/2014, la cosa se pone literalmente fuera de chungo...

¿Qué más puedo decir? La Armada Española carneros los Zodiacs, un activista de Greenpeace cae al agua y está gravemente herido que tiene que ir al hospital en helicóptero. No sólo eso, el gobierno central ve la acción pacifista como un acto pirateado y debe proteger al pobre gigante petrolero. Como el capitán no tenía la distancia de 1000m estatutario al buque de perforación cumplido, el Arctic Sunrise se acompaña en el puerto de Arrecife, con Greenpeace multado € 50,000! El TOPE - Sr. Ministro de Energía Soria con su comentario: "Si eso no impide que me voy personalemente en un F-18 y bombardearlos como ido"...fascismo en nuestra opinión, no es un gran centro! Le deseamos buena suerte a Greenpeace y los apoyamos para continuar su lucha por nuestros océanos!

From November 2 to 8, the International Environmental Festival Langaia was held in Lanzarote. The event was, as might be expected, dominated by the current protests against oil drilling offshore the Canary Islands, more on that later...as little taste here the video of the demonstration in Arrecife, 10/18/2014

We participated in various discussions about renewable energies, the spectacle Piratas al Recyclaje and the children's program were incredible and the festival certainly a great success! Our ambassador Ave Plasticvus fooled around with La Fabrica de Suenos the Plaza de la Mareta in la Villa de Teguis

On Langaia festival we finally met the team of SurfAndClean personally! We spent a great week, exchanged ideas enjoyed now and then some great waves. We would like to thank David for the great blog report on COUP and we sincerely recommend his projects, most notably Surf and Sun!

Of course we are still strong in cleaning beaches and we have expanded our scope. COUP collects samples twice a month as part of a study on microplastics. The data collected will help in the evaluation of alluvial Plastic amount.

We now use old feed sacks for our actions at the beach - THANKs Lanzaroteacaballo!

... and now a tiresome subject: The drilling has begun, also our Giant-Calmar has not been able to change anything. The world looked so beautiful when Greenpeace with the Arctic Sunrise in Arrecife dropped anchor and we were allowed to visit the Boat, but then, on 15.09.2014, the thing literally gets out of hand

What else can I say? The Spanish Armada rams the Zodiacs, a Greenpeace activist falls overboard and is severely injured that she has to go to hospital by helicopter. Not only that, the central government sees the pacifist action as a act of pirates and that they must protect the poor oil giant. The captain didn´t complied 1000m distance to the drillship , the Arctic Sunrise got accompanied in the port of Arrecife, with Greenpeace fined 50,000 euros! Only Mr. Energy Minister Soria knows worst with his Comment: "If that does not stop I´ll jump personaly in an F-18 and bomb them as gone!" , Fascism in our opinion! We wish good luck to Greenpeace and support them to continue their fight for our oceans!
